D&AD came to visit today, and I got assigned with Jonny from Shellsuit Zombie for my portfolio surgery.
Had a really great chat with him! It was nice to speak to someone that had not long since been in my position, so was able to give me some really great advice.
+ Said I had a really great portfolio - can clearly see my interests and shows a good variety of projects
+ Nice use of colour - nothings overpowering
+ Good to see all projects included are up to a good standard
- Work is quite 'safe', need a project where it's more experimental and really pushes boundaries.
I didn't have to awkwardly give him a business card after, he actually asked for it which is definitely promising.
