Updated portfolio.

Really really struggled to pick out the work I'd like to show in my portfolio. I think i've managed to get a good variety. Will most likely make a few more amendments before the end of year show.

540gsm
30mm square area metallic ink debossed

Duffields visit.

Whilst visiting Duffields to see our Photography yearbook in print, Clive very kindly gave us a tour of all the machinery.

Freelance work - LYPBA

It's definitely not something I would normally produce. It's not something I would put in my portfolio. It's the first time I've design something for a 12-14 year old.

It was handed to me on a plate, and in the real world, I'm not going to be able to just turn down jobs because I dont like the brief.

Anyway, they were really happy with it, I got the experience.

Portfolio delivered!

New portfolio arrived from london graphic center today, and I soon transfered my portfolio into it.

It does look great and much much better than the ones from college.

Initial EOYS proposal

Images sent.

I sent off my images yesterday to the publishing company in Shanghai as mentioned in previous posts.

The projects requested were the Anthony Rimmer identity, Great identity, and the Jason Munn exhibition.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Lulu order

Quite excited about getting it back. It's in the format I was thinking of using for my design context publication. Hopefully it will print ok.

Portfolio book.

I had been wanting to create a portfolio book for quite some time, and also wanted to send something off to lulu.com to see how good the printing is for my design context book, so thought i'd combine the 2.

I literally spent under an hour putting this together. I'm not sure on the use of it, I dont think I would take it in place of my portfolio. But it will be nice for me to have anyway.

Size: Square format - 21.59 x 21.59cm
32 pages, plus another 4 pages for the cover.

And the cover:

Again, very very quicky put together.

Final presentation

As usual, I was very nervous, and I ended up panicking and stuttered a little. However, I felt I got across everything I wanted to say.

It was nice to see what everyone had been up to, and their plans for after the course. It's unbelievable how far people have come when thinking back to them first presentations.

Creative CV ideas

I really didn't want to go for the standard A4 layout for my CV, I can see that it's get extremely boring and if I was in the receivers position, I'd appreciate something different.

I initially thought of something that would fold out and showcase a few examples of my work, but then I thought why not just do something thats more me.

I've been wanting to produce a newspaper for quite a while, so I thought why not combine the 2.
